Shaker style kitchen – timeless legacy meets modern simplicity
The shaker-style cabinetry is a popular choice when it comes to simplicity, functionality, and durability. This custom project has a blend of contemporary and traditional forms with the application of semi-gloss paint and stain. The soft-close hardware makes ease of use of each door and drawer while the thoughtful layout makes daily tasks feel seamless. Dovetail joinery adds strength with an elegant visual appeal. Our client selected the pulls and knobs which perfectly suits the character of the cabinetry. Adjacent to the kitchen is the coffee bar. The design follows the theme of the arched doorways to the kitchen. Under-mounted lighting allows visibility while preparing an early morning espresso.
European style cabinetry – The gold standard for the modern space
Frameless cabinetry, also known as European-style, offers a sleek aesthetic to any space. Often found in modern offices in the U.S., the frameless design can compliment kitchen spaces for a contemporary feel. This design offers uninterrupted full-access to the interior while the frameless fronts provide a uniform and seamless plane across the walls. The flat doors and drawers cover the entire cabinet (full overlay) leaving tight gaps throughout, unlike the wider gaps seen on face-frame cabinetry. This design can also be matched with classic door panel styles and hardware making this architecture a versatile choice for homeowners.
Classic shaker – Aesthetic balance with natural tones
Our custom shaker style cabinetry has been a popular choice for our projects. In this California home, our client wanted to keep the layout as symmetrical as possible without compromising on functionality. The design asked for clean lines, a timeless style, and a few modern features. Extra tall upper cabinets provide maximum usage of space on the ten foot soffit ceiling. To further complete the large open kitchen space, two separate islands are accommodated and perfectly aligned. Our favorite piece is our large custom hood range that dresses the appliance to match the style of the cabinetry. Two tall doors to the left lead to a walk-in hidden pantry. A soft-close spice rack pull-out to the right of the range and utensil organizer to the left provide easy reachability. Four foot wide by twelve foot long islands provide storage for the large family gatherings during the holidays.
